DAY 3: SELF-COMPASSION Practice
You did it! You've made time for mindful minutes that add up to lasting impact!
Here's the final installment in our SANITY PAUSE, a 2-minute self-compassion practice that's really about treating our own disappointment and difficulty the way we might counsel a good friend to respond.
Don't skip this one (!), even if you're feeling a little squishy about "self-compassion." This is hard-nosed neuroscience at work!
As always, if you become emotionally overwhelmed at any point, please take care of yourself by backing out of the practice. Open your eyes and look around. Take a few deep breaths. Stand up and walk around the room.
Meet the Practice Leader
Sara Flitner is the founder and president of Becoming Jackson Whole. After practicing meditation for many years, Sara developed a particular interest in the neuroscience of mindfulness and how attention training might better equip leaders to solve problems. She founded Becoming Jackson Whole with a vision for a community where the majority of us have a greater capacity for empathy, compassion, and resilience.
